Let us learn how God protected the people of Israel, who also experienced a “new normal” when they came out of Egypt. . Pillar of Cloud & Pillar of Fire: A Form of God’s Protection. . The journey of the Israelites from Egypt to the land of Canaan was not easy. They had to endure the scorching sun and the cold nights in the wilderness. Yet they could feel God’s protection through the pillar of cloud and the pillar of fire that physically remained with them. . Pillar of Cloud & Pillar of Fire: A Form of God’s Guidance. . When the Israelites crossed the wilderness at night, God’s pillar of fire gave them light and guided them. Darkness could not overpower or paralyze their activity. The same is true of our situation today. We do not need to be afraid. Instead, we need to trust that God is leading us through this season. . If in the past God protected and accompanied the Israelites through the pillar of cloud and the pillar of fire, that same God still protects us today.
