Woman Class: What's Amazing About Women

Woman Class has been running for eight years to equip remarkable women. Its classes are spaces for sharing and learning together, as part of an effort to build up women so they can take a greater role in ministry.

In Woman Class, every woman is nurtured to become a spiritual woman with a character that matches the word of God. Besides spiritual growth, they also learn other things, such as how to manage finances, beauty, and so on.

On November 22, 2018, Woman Class raised the theme What’s Amazing About Woman?—What Is Amazing About Women? This theme explored in depth the extraordinary sides of women, as well as ways to maximize their potential to serve God.

This event, held at the GKDI Bali building, was attended by around eighty women from various backgrounds and ages. Whether teenagers, singles or married, they joined with one purpose, namely to become remarkable women for God.

Warm, friendly, full of laughter, yet still rich in substance, was the atmosphere of this event. The room was filled with colorful flowers, because the dress code-was floral-themed attire—aligned with the purpose of the theme, which was to become women who are “fragrant” like flowers.

Mrs. Wuryandani Kandouw shared three points about how to become a FRAGRANT woman:

• Fragrant before God Our prayer of gratitude is a form of 'fragrance' or our thank offering to God. Have we grown in this this year? No complaints, yes thankfulness!.
• Values according to the Word of God Evaluate yourself at all times: what values have not yet grown or still need to grow in order to become a woman who is in line with the Word of God.
• Steadfast under trial Have great faith in the struggle to become a woman of God and remain humble.

Besides women’s classes, this event, which is routinely held every two months, was also enlivened by a flower-arranging competition. Not only was it filled with the word of God, the women were also invited to learn to work together. The participants were very enthusiastic in following the whole series of events, which closed with fellowship together.
