4 Biblical Words of Life Motivation to Live with Spirit

“Why read words of life motivation? Ah, so cliché!” That is what I often used to think. For a long time I did not believe in articles full of motivation. To me, they were empty and often did not match the reality of life. After all, problems cannot be solved by motivation alone.

However, words do have power. As Proverbs 18:21 says, “death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love to use it will eat its fruit.” A person’s life depends on the words they speak and hear. Good words can build someone up; evil words can destroy someone.

That is why words are so strong. Especially words of life motivation can be very powerful.

Words of Life Motivation from the Word of God

Now imagine if those words of life motivation came from God Himself. Amazing, isn’t it?

Motivation from God is different from the world’s motivation. The world’s teachings can change, and even contradict one another. By contrast, the word of God is certainly true, and it has power to revive our soul (Psalm 19:7). When you truly listen to the word of God, your soul will surely be inspired.

Isn’t this wonderful? When you are confused, sad, pressured, or disappointed, reflecting on God’s words can strengthen you again. Your problems may still be there, but at least you have the spirit to keep living.

Here are some words of life motivation from the word of God.

1. God Will Not Leave You

As it says in Hebrews 13:5b,

For God has said: ”I will never leave you and I will never forsake you.”

God has already promised that He will not leave you. Until whenever, forever. This may be hard to understand when countless problems are pressing in on you. Even so, God never lies. Who knows, perhaps one day God will give you something better?

Try reflecting again on all the goodness of God that you have experienced. The same God who has been with you will continue to be with you. There is one condition: keep believing. Will you keep holding on to God’s promise until everything is fulfilled?

2. God’s Love Is New Every Day

Every new day is God’s grace in your life. The prophet Jeremiah wrote in Lamentations 3:22-23,

The Lord’s faithful love never ends, His mercies never come to an end,

they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness!

Jeremiah was not in a good place when he wrote this verse. Babylon had just invaded Judah, destroyed its cities, and deported the Israelites into exile. Imagine if the people you loved were forcibly taken away and exiled to a distant land, while your home and city were leveled to the ground.

Yet Jeremiah still believed that the Lord’s faithful love is “new every morning.” What does that mean? He believed that God’s love lasts forever. There will always be a second chance, when everything will become beautiful.

It may be that these words feel the least believable as words of life motivation. It is hard to believe that God is good when things are bleak. Even so, that is the reality. Like the sun that always rises at the same hour, so is God’s love: always new every day. That means there is always a new opportunity for you to glorify Him.

So, do not give up! Keep believing in God’s goodness.

3. God Will Provide

This time we will look at Psalm 23:1.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.

This is God’s promise, plain and simple. He will provide - and we will not be in lack.

Often, this promise is buried in the middle of worry. We are afraid that what we have will not be enough from day to day. In an economy like this, how could it be enough? Prices keep rising, how could it be enough? Business is sluggish, how can I feel that it is enough?

If that is what you are feeling, it is time to remember again that God will provide for your needs. Needs, not desires. God will keep you in His wondrous way, so that everything you need for life will surely be supplied.

Of course you have your part to work. But when you have done all that you can, this is the time to surrender to God.

4. God Strengthens and Sustains You

This promise is found in Isaiah 41:10. This is how it reads,

do not fear, for I am with you,

do not be dismayed, for I am your God;

There will be times when you face many challenges. Things that are frightening, worrying, that seem hard to face. When you begin to lose heart, remember this promise of God.

The world may change, but God does not. He remains the same, His power remains, from long ago and forever. The God who showed His power in the past will still be powerful in this time. He who helped Moses, David, and the prophets will help you as well.

God does not promise that you will not face problems. You will go through unpleasant times. Yet God promises that He will be with you, whatever you face.

Reflect on and Believe God’s Promises

The word of God is more than just words of life motivation. It is the truth, certain and unchanging. The question is: will you say amen to it?

What you believe, in time you will believe. “Let it be done to you according to your faith” (Matthew 9:29). Try reflecting on the four words of life motivation above. Make them your anchor when you enter a difficult season. At the right time, God will surely work in your life.
