John 1:1 says that the Word was God. When we study His word, we are actually seeking the Lord.

Have you ever found it difficult to understand God’s word? You are not alone. This was also experienced by the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8. by following the steps taken by this Ethiopian eunuch:

1. Strive with all your might This eunuch sought the Lord by making a long journey, from Ethiopia to Jerusalem, so that he could worship.

.

2. Read Even though he did not understand, he still kept reading God’s word. He did not feel satisfied only with hearing the reading of God’s word in Jerusalem.

.

3. Have the Humility to Ask When there was God’s word that he did not understand, this eunuch humbly asked Philip.

.

4. Respond to God’s Word After understanding the truth, he responded by asking Philip to baptize him.

.

Through what the eunuch in Ethiopia experienced, we have an example in understanding God’s word. By practicing the 5 things above, we can become people who are not only able to understand His word, but also become doers of the word who can inspire many people.
