The Victory of Seasoned Singles Sisters Amid the Pandemic

Precious Women Fellowship which was formed in 2008, and at first was only a place for single adults to fellowship with one another. Within this fellowship , they were helped to know their true identity as women who belong to God and are precious in His sight. They were helped to have the right mindset, namely that they are special, even though they have not yet found a life partner or have lost a partner through divorce or death.
As time went by, Precious Women Fellowship eventually grew into a new ministry called Seasoned Singles. This ministry is made up not only of women, but also of adult men. With a clear vision and mission, this ministry is united in heart and committed to fulfilling the Lord's command in Matthew 28:19-20.
In this ministry, they are eager to help people who are going through struggles to know God and the truth of His word. In the midst of the pandemic that has been going on since March 2020, Seasoned Singles has won 4 women for the Lord:
Maya - 8 Maret 2020

Maya is a staff member at a private hospital in Manado. At that time, Maya felt bored with the routine of her life, which felt flat and without purpose. She was also experiencing heartbreak, so she needed a positive and uplifting community. Through the Instagram GKDI Official, Maya was connected with this community.
She had been studying the Bible since August 2019. At first, she held firmly to principles and values that she believed were right. However, after the truth of God's word was opened to her, she realized that all this time she had been living according to her own thoughts. In the end, Maya decided to live in the Lord according to His word.
Ria - 29 Maret 2020

In August 2019, Ria, the sixth of 9 siblings, was going through one sorrow after another. The deaths of her older sibling and adopted older sibling in succession made her wonder why God was taking the people closest to her in life. Feelings of sadness and disappointment, with no one to comfort and help her, once made her think about suicide.
Ria finally began looking for a community that could help her, and found GKDI's social media through Facebook, which introduced her to the congregation in Batam. Ria then realized that all this time she had depended more on people than on God. Now, Ria is eager to serve and help others know God.
Lam - 27 Juni 2020

Lam works in HR at a private company in Batam. When covid 19 spread, Lam, who had previously suffered from a respiratory-related illness, was struck by excessive चिंता and fear about her health.
Actually, Lam had known about this community for a long time through a sister in Depok. When Lam was in Jakarta, she had also joined worship services at GKDI Jakarta several times. She had also taught vocals and choir for the congregation in Batam. Previously, Lam had also been invited to study the Bible by sisters in Batam. But at that time, she always refused.
During this pandemic, Lam finally began seeking God and was reintroduced to the congregation and ministers in Batam. Lam, a person gifted in music and vocal technique, began to give herself to Bible study.
Through studying the word, she understood God's word more deeply. Lam also found the peace she needed. Even though she faced many problems at her workplace, Lam kept striving to be a doer of the word. She grew into a person who was open and willing to be shaped according to God's will. The cross of Christ also changed her heart, so that in the end she decided to become a disciple of Jesus.
Connie - 5 Juli 2020

Connie, a single mom with 3 children, met the Surabaya congregation through GKDI social media on Facebook. Living far from the church and without a vehicle meant that she had to spend quite a lot just to come to worship. Financially. she did not have a steady income and relied only on online selling. However, this situation did not make her give up seeking God.
Bitterness and prolonged trauma for 5 years because of the betrayal of the people closest to her made Connie live in suffering, both physically and mentally. Revenge, hatred, anger, and deep hurt had become ingrained in Connie's life.
But after studying the word more deeply, Connie began to let go of her hurt, bitterness, and all those things. She was touched to see the Lord's sacrifice on the cross for her so that she could receive a new life. Without hesitation, Connie decided to live in the Lord, no matter her circumstances.
Glory belongs to the Lord alone!
