THE GOD WHO IS FULL OF MERCY (MERCY)

Psalm 136:1, Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His steadfast love endures forever.

In this Psalm 136, the phrase steadfast love appears 26 times as seen in the saving work of grace. The grace of God means that God is always willing to forgive the sins of every person, even the gravest ones.

For the LORD your God is a merciful God; He will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your fathers, which He swore to them (Deuteronomy 4:31)

Verses for Reflection:

Psalm 145:9, 15-16, "The LORD is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works... The eyes of all look to You, and You give them their food in due season; You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing."

Deuteronomy 4:29-31, "But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him, if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. When you are in distress and all these things come upon you in the latter days, you will return to the LORD your God and listen to His voice. For the LORD your God is a merciful God; He will not abandon or destroy you, and He will not forget the covenant with your fathers that He swore to them."

Psalm 119:64, "The earth is full of Your steadfast love, O LORD; teach me Your statutes."
