Nothing Is Impossible for God

Nothing Is Impossible for God

In life, sometimes there are things that we think are impossible to fix. Adrian, an English literature student at a university in Yogyakarta, once thought that way before he came to know God.

Growing up in a family that was not harmonious caused Adrian to become a cold person. Besides not being close to his parents, older sibling, and younger sibling, Adrian also had no example of love in the family because he saw that his father and mother's relationship was not good. To him, loving family was very difficult and not an obligation.

Adrian's cold attitude also affected his relationships with other people. He did not have many close friends because he was very selective in choosing friends, and only wanted to be friends with those from the same ethnic group as him.

This young man, born in 1999, then had to accept a bitter reality when his parents divorced. His family's economic condition grew even worse when Adrian's older sibling became involved in legal trouble. In the middle of that chaos, Adrian felt emptiness in his life. He did not know what to do to lighten his family's burden.

During that time of hardship, Adrian met brother Rendy and Yoga, who then invited him to join Bible Study. In October 2018, Adrian finally agreed to study because he felt that only God could help him and his family.

Throughout the study process, little by little Adrian was able to see God's goodness. He began to feel peace and joy even though his life situation was still far from what he had hoped for. With diligence, he went through every faith challenge given to him. However, there was one challenge that was very hard for him to overcome, which was being open about his sins. Adrian felt ashamed and unworthy to be forgiven by God.

With the help of the brothers, Adrian succeeded in building the confidence to confess his sins before God. He experienced great relief because he knew God had forgiven him and no longer remembered his old life. Finally, in February 2019, he decided to receive God into his life.

After being baptized, many changes took place in Adrian. He became a warm person and had many friends. His relationship with his parents and younger sibling also improved. Adrian even became an inspiration for his mother and younger sibling to worship together. Not only that, currently his mother is taking part in Bible Study in Married Ministry, and Adrian is convinced that one day all the members of his family will be able to receive God.

Adrian is very grateful that he came to know God and never imagined that God was able to restore his relationship with his family. To him, that was impossible. Yet Adrian saw for himself how God's help came into his life and for his family.

As an expression of gratitude, Adrian is now involved in a number of ministries. He actively serves as a volunteer in Kerajaan Kanak-Kanak, usher team, and various Campus Ministry. activities. Adrian hopes God will use him to help many people, and he remains committed to giving his life for the glory of God's name.
