Words from Our Leader - Loving the Truth

My dear brothers & sisters in Christ,

Before we realize it, we have already entered the month of August. In this year 2017, as One Church we want to grow to be more like Christ and therefore we have the theme 'Christlike'. We want the character and attributes of Christ to be felt and seen clearly in and through our lives.

There are 5 areas in which we especially want to grow. Just as Christ loves the Father, loves the Lost, loves the Bride (the Church), loves the Truth, and loves the Poor & Needy, we too want to have a heart like Christ's.

In this month of August, we will learn how we can become one church that loves the Truth (Loving The Truth). The theme we are carrying is 'I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life' (John 4:16). We live in an age where everything seems true and depends on who is judging, and we are grateful that there is an absolute Truth we can hold on to. The justifications we make draw us away from the Truth. As we take time to truly study His Truth and know Jesus as the Way we must walk and the Life we must live, we will experience the Truth that sets us free (John 8:32).

I urge us, let us not merely 'Find' time, but 'Make' time to study His Word more deeply because His Word is truth (John 17:17) and live it out in every part of our lives. I believe that the Spirit of Truth Himself will lead us all into the whole Truth (John 16:13). I pray that our wonder toward our Lord Jesus Christ will also increase and that we too will grow to be more like Him, who is full of Grace and Truth (John 1:14).

Let us make this month a turning point in our worship of our Lord where we become True Worshipers who worship God in Spirit and Truth (John 4:24) as He desires.
