Good News from the Cikarang Congregation - Julio
Holding Firm to Faith Through Clear Vision from Childhood
Holding on to spiritual conviction is not easy, especially for children and young people. Yet this is not impossible when someone has a good understanding and a clear vision of their faith, as Julio has experienced. This Environmental Engineering student, who holds a full scholarship at a university in Cikarang, was born into a family with various religious backgrounds. However, through his teenage years, he continued to hold on to the Christian faith of his late father, who passed away from illness when Julio was still in elementary school.
During college, Julio became friends with Yabes, a disciple of Jesus who was very passionate in ministry. After being baptized and becoming a disciple, Yabes's life made a great impact on his friends, and one of them was Julio.
Julio has a clear perspective on the Christian faith. Perhaps this is what strengthened his faith from an early age, even though he lived with his mother, older sister, and grandmother, who held different beliefs. For him, Christianity is full of the values of truth, love, and example. However, he also admits that these good values are not easy to live out without a heart attitude that truly follows the Lord faithfully.
The process of Bible Study helps Julio continue on the right path and put the word into practice in his daily life. Gradually, he began to be able to determine his life purpose spiritually and face every spiritual challenge given to him. Julio was also willing to open his heart and prepare himself to become a disciple of Jesus by continuing to persevere in the word.
On January 29, 2020, Julio was baptized. He became one of the baptisms from the new generation, following several students from the first batch of baptisms on the Cikarang campus who will graduate this year. May Julio and his friends be able to help many young people come to know the way of salvation. Welcome to the Kingdom!
