Grand Opening of GKDI Siantar Place of Worship
On Sunday, August 6, 2017, at exactly 10:00 a.m. WIB, the dedication of GKDI Siantar’s new place of worship, located on Jl. Melanton Siregar, was held. Around 130 people attended this event, which was also enlivened by the presence of several members from Medan.
This place of worship is located in the CU. Cinta Mulia building and uses 2 floors. Floor 2 serves as the KKK (Children’s Kingdom) room, and floor 3 is for the main worship service. This new worship hall can accommodate approximately 150 people, and it has been equipped with a stage, projector screen, lighting, and sound system of good quality.

Sunday’s event began with a ribbon-cutting by Mr. Alex and Mr. Tji Heng, representing CBN and the board of elders from Jakarta, who supported the realization of this new place of worship. The event continued with the main worship service, with Mr. Alex as the speaker. The sermon theme was Loving The Truth - Tough Love, in line with the Nusantara church theme for August 2017. After that, the next event was the building dedication or grand opening marked by the launching of confetti and ribbon by Pastor Robin Silalahi (leader of the Siantar congregation), Pastor Dani (leader of the Medan congregation), Mr. Alex (CBN), Mr. Tji Heng (Elder), and Mr. Frans Tahitu (representing the GKDI Siantar congregation). Colorful confetti and ribbons burst throughout the room, marking the dedication of the building.

After this dedication ceremony, the congregation had lunch together, beginning with the cutting of the tumpeng, followed by an outstanding performance by the choir from the Medan congregation, who came to support the event. We are grateful to everyone who supported this event so that it could proceed smoothly and full of joy.
