Attributes of God: Day 9

Day 9

GOD IS OMNISCIENT (OMNISCIENCE)

Romans 11:33-34, "Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and how incomprehensible His ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has ever been His counselor?"

As human beings, we have limitations in our ability to think. Because of that, it is truly very difficult to understand God, who knows all things. When speaking to Job, Elihu mentioned several times that God is the God of all knowledge, which in the NIV is translated as perfect knowledge.

Verses for Reflection:

Daniel 2:22, "He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him."

Psalm 139:1-6, "For the director of music. A Psalm of David. LORD, You have searched me and known me; You know when I sit down and when I rise up, You understand my thoughts from afar. You observe me when I walk and when I lie down, all my ways are familiar to You. For before a word is on my tongue, behold, You know it completely, O LORD. You hem me in behind and before, and You lay Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too high, I cannot attain it."

Ezekiel 11:5, "Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon me, and the LORD said to me: "Say: Thus says the LORD: This is what you are saying, O house of Israel, and I know what arises in your heart."

Isaiah 46:8-10 "Remember this and be ashamed; take it to heart, you rebels! Remember the former things of old, that I am God and there is no other, I am God and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times what has not yet been done, saying: My purpose shall stand, and all My will I will accomplish"
