Day 30
GOD JUDGES
Psalm 75:8, but God is the Judge: He brings one down and exalts another. It is easy to give a picture of God as full of mercy, grace, and steadfast love, but when speaking about judgment, Christians often forget one of God’s attributes, namely that He judges. Paul declared that all the suffering he experienced is not comparable to the crown that will be given, because God will judge justly; whatever was done while still living is what will be rewarded at the end of the age (2 Timothy 4:8). For those who live in view of judgment, this verse is very real. That we will be judged by God for our every deed, whether good or not (Pengkotbah 12:13-14)
Verses for Reflection:
Psalm 50:6, "The heavens proclaim His righteousness, for God Himself is Judge."
Hebrews 12:23, "and to the assembly of the firstborn, whose names are registered in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect"
Isaiah 3:13, "The LORD takes His place to bring His case and stands to judge the peoples."
Psalm 82:1, "A Psalm of Asaph. God stands in the divine assembly; among the gods He judges"
Isaiah 66:16, "For the LORD will judge all flesh with fire and with His sword, and those slain by the LORD will be many."
