Welcome to the official website of Gereja Kristus Di Indonesia!

God designed the church to be his earthly household with Jesus as the standard and chief cornerstone; and that’s what Gereja Kristus Di Indonesia (GKDI) stands for. GKDI is not a perfect church but a church striving for perfection in Christ. It is a melting pot where people from different walks of lives, gather and worship God, growing to be more like Christ.

Here you can get all reliable information about our church, events, activities, as well as many inspiring stories about the lives of people that have been impacted and transformed in Jesus Christ.

To him who by means of his power working in us is able to do so much more than we can ever ask for, or even think of…(Ephesian 3:20)

tn_damianusariDamianus was a student in a private university in Medan. He also worked as a barber to support his studies. His activities consumed all of his time from morning till night.

At work, he had a friend named Ari Zai (a brother in the East Single Ministry). Damianus knew Ari for 2 years and Ari often invited him to come to the church meetings, but he always rejected it because his time was full. Then Ari stopped inviting him, he thought Damianus was not interested in God.

After a while Ari offered him to study the Bible and thought Damianus would reject it as usual. But on the contrary, Damianus responded well and started to study the Bible at 10 p.m after work.

tn_baptisan adi dan yuliSix months being disciples of Jesus have brought many changes in the life of this couple, Adi & Yuli, both in their personal and marriage life. They have been blessed with a daughter named Jasmine who is 9 years old.

Adi & Yuli came from different religious background when they got married: Adi was a Christian, and Yuli was a non-Christian. One day, Yuli received a marriage seminar invitation held by GKDI Semarang. Yuli came alone because Adi was reluctant to come. When Adi was invited to a church service, he rejected it, because he thought that coming to a new community environment and adapting with new group of people had no point at all.

But on one Sunday, Adi came, reluctantly. And so did the next Sunday and then the next Sundays. Both Adi and Yuli finally study the Bible, with a humble heart and got fired-up. To their surprise, they suddenly realized that so many positive changes have happened in their life. The emotional Adi then became a gentle and caring person and had stopped doing his sins. Both of them prayed and had quite times together since then. Even their parents could see the changes in their marriage. Now they had the mission of Christ in their heart and they were united in Jesus Christ through the baptism and were reconciled as it is written in 2 Corinthians 5:17-18.

Nia was born in a dysfunction family. Her father was a Karawitan (a kind of Java traditional music) teacher, who visited one place to another to teach the Karawitan.
